Mike Frazier devoted more than 40 years of his life to exploring caves both locally and internationally. He generously shared his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with new cavers, always hoping to inspire in others the same love and respect he held for the underground world.

Throughout his life, Mike volunteered tirelessly on projects dedicated to the exploration, protection, restoration, and study of cave environments. One of his greatest joys was the opportunity he and his wife, Donna, had to purchase and preserve the former show cave, “Cave of the Clouds,” now known as Defiance Cave Preserve.

Mike hoped his efforts would ensure that future generations of cavers would have a place to responsibly explore, learn, and appreciate the beauty and wonder of caves and their ecosystems. His legacy will continue underground, in the countless lives he touched, and in the cave he worked so hard to protect.
